This is nice and all, it makes you smile and think of him.

But…I look at it and I get a little disgusted.

It doesn’t make me think of him because he’s not like that. He doesn’t look like that, he doesn’t land in that picture-perfect position. His arms aren’t toned at the shoulders and they don’t roll down in perfect waves. And my body doesn’t look like hers. My hair doesn’t flow like hers.

In fact, if you took a picture of him and I in bed, you wouldn’t like the photo. You probably wouldn’t like the first ten photos - maybe you’d never get the perfect one. Because we’re not picture perfect. We’re just us and we love each other and that’s that.

So that’s why I don’t reblog pictures of people like this when I’m thinking of him - because the models are not unperfect. These photographers are too obsessed with being aesthetically pleasing to focus their lens on the love that two people share.

But hey, I do like the photo.
