This is a bit long - but I think it’s worth it if you’re interested. It’s the story of a civilization living on the planet of Lagash under the constant light of six suns. But once every two thousand years those suns are eclipsed and the stars become visible. And to the inhabitants who have come to understand that constant sunlight is essential to life, as that is the circumstance in which they live, this single night darkness is aboslutely mind-boggling and drives them all insane.
